- Outside of Fargo/Moorhead, Cory played with Sockless (Mankato), Los Banyos (Mankato), Talmadge (Minneapolis) and Pocket Genius (Minneapolis). Fellow ex-Fargoan, Andy Martinson played with him in Pocket Genius as well.
- Cory is credited with inspiring the while goXfargoXgo/Beyond the Threshold joke from the mid-90s.
