Matt was born on June 27th, 1985. He grew up and attended schools in Moorhead, MN. He was a member of the Beef Jerks, a punk band, in the late 1990's and then joined the Blue Fairy Godmothers in 2003. After graduating High School, Matt was married and continued to record and perform with the BFG's. Due to conflicts with other projects the BFG's put their music on hold, but Matt continued to compose and perform music. He passed away in September of 2009. The BFG's album "Salt Feet" is dedicated to him.
