Dan currently lives in St. Paul with his wife Karen. He still plays a guitar that was bought with tip-jar money. Famously, he was in a band for quite some time before he could actually play an instrument. After Black Eyed Susan had broken up for about a year, Aaron Poochigian got tired of Dan's constant commentary about if only he was a rock star things would be better. So, Aaron, just to prove to Dan that rock stardom was not all it was cracked up to be, reformed Black Eyed Susan. This plan back-fired because Dan eventually did learn to play guitar, and quite smashingly at that, and he thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Dan still wants to be a rock star. Or Kevin Garnet.
