Tonga Exotica was an ambitious group that combined metal and rap(yikes)and peppered their heavy sound with complex time changes. The group drew a sizeable crowd to local shows, but failed to move beyond the Fargo scene. After drummer Todd Ruzicka left the band to join Recaster, Martin Woods joined the group. Tonga Exotica disbanded soon after. Dan Rosh moved to Pittsburgh, Paul Berninger went to Hollywood and Joel Dahl joined local band Nine Eyes.
