7th Seal is a Fargo metal band which is stylistically somewhere between British bands like Iron Maiden and thrash/speed bands like Megadeth or Testament.  Heavy emphasis is placed on harmonized guitar leads and stacked arrangements.  Initially, 7th Seal was primarily a cover band.  Over time, the emphasis went toward original music.

7th Seal was formed in the fall of 2004 by Travis Woyen, Troy Salonen, Jim Detenancour, and Dave StenslandIt took several months of playing before the group had a name.  After batting about several names (Veracity, Brainhammer, and many which were soon forgotten) for months, they finally selected "7th Seal" shortly before their first gig, which was at the Eastgate Lounge in March of 2005.  This was followed by a spate of opening shows through the end of that yearAs of this point, there was one original song (called "Original Sin") that was played at every show.
