Through the years he developed the nickname &quot;Chico&quot;. When he first stared high school he began playing guitar. He immediately joined a band called [[Northern Sin]]. Around a year later he joined a band Barcode which changed their name to the local infamous band [[Death Toll]]. He still plays in both these bands. Influences include [[Randy Rhoads]], [[Alexi Laiho]], [[Jason Becker]], and [[Paul Gilbert]].
